OpenOffice.org 2.2 is out

The new version of the open source office OpenOffice.org, version 2.2, is out now.
Instead of posting a "what's new" post I figured that you'd just as well read the official press release and release notes :-)
For Danish folks: da.openoffice.org is the place to go.

WordPress 2.1 is now available

It has been in a testing phase pretty much since January 4th, when beta 1 was released to the testing community and now it's here:

WordPress 2.0.7 is here

As you may or may not know, version 2.0.7 of WordPress — the open source content management which this blog is powered by — is out.

I just updated to 2.0.7 simply by uploading the new WordPress onto the old one…works every time for me :-)

One of the things in WordPress that irritated me was the fact, that when people search for something on a blog, the window title just shows the blog name (e.g. "New Media") and not what has been searched for.
I wanted to change this, so it displayed "New Media » search: %search term%".

Dana Blankenholm at ZDNet blogs, that Linden Labs has released the Second Life client software source code under the open source GPL license
This is somewhat interesting, allthough I'm not that much into Second Life, and probably don't understand the full impact of this yet :).

Just installed OpenOffice.org 2.1 Danish.One the the new features is an online update feature.
But when I started OOo 1.2, it wasn't were is was suppose to be, in Tools » Options » OpenOffice.org. I saw that others had the same problem and discussed it in a thread on the da.openoffice.org forum.
