As a Gmail user who uses Gmail a lot, I also use a Firefox extension entitled "Better Gmail".
But as Google has started upgrading all Gmail accounts to a new and improved Gmail a new version of the Better Gmail extension is needed.
The aptly named "Better Gmail 2" is available at the Lifehacker site.
The new Better [...]

Today when I logged into Gmail, I noticed that I had some more space available than usually:
You are currently using 639 MB (21%) of your 3044 MB.
A quick look at the official Gmail blog and yes:
That said, a few of you are using Gmail so much that you're running out of space, so to make [...]

Oh, how nice: Another PayPal scam

Just got an email from PayPal (allegedly) saying that my account will be closed, unless I click a link in the email to active my account.
This email has scam written all over it. First of all, I doubt that PayPal would ever send out an email like that. Second, the email wasn't even send to [...]

5 GB of storage at Hotmail

I have a Hotmail account that I don't use a lot, since I'm hopelessly in love with Gmail, among other things because of the magnificent search.
Nevertheless, I just got a mail from Hotmail telling me, that my account has been upgraded.
Among other things, my account is now an impressing 5 gigabytes — a bit more [...]

I hate e-mail receipts

Why is it that some people have the urge to check whether or not the recipient(s) of the e-mails they send opens the e-mails?
I'm referring to the e-mail receipts, which notifies the sender as soon as the recipient opens the e-mail.
I hate those receipts. Grrrrr. First of all they don't tell the sender if the [...]

Put the G in Gmail

Steve Rubel has done a very interesting post on how you can use Gmail as a resource in various ways.
"Turn Gmail Into Your Personal Nerve Center".
It's a great read if you want to know how services like Gmail can be used in many ways!

Goodbye, e-mail applications

From this day forward, I'm no longer using e-mail applications such as Outlook and Thunderbird.
The reason: Gmail now supports fetching e-mail from others accounts using POP3.
So I figured that I might as well go 100 percent online with my e-mailing stuff :-)
To stay updated on incoming e-mails I'm currently using ePrompter. But it would be [...]

Fetch your e-mail in Gmail

I'm loving this, Google is making it possible to get e-mail from other accounts — up to five accounts.
And if you add the e-mail addresses as accounts (called "Send mail as") in Gmail you can actually manage most, if not all, of your e-mail chores in Gmail. Nice :D
