Reboot is apparently supposed to be the numero one web (2.0) conference on Danish soil. But what in the name of God and the glory is up with the website?

For instance, check the program for day 1. Who can honesty call that good webdesign — especially for a website connected to a conference like Reboot?

What's up with all the <span>'s? And the colors, especially when you move your mouse over an element linking to a presentation? Who got the idea of combining green and red, two colors who are at opposite ends for the color scale, and therefore should not be combined?

And the more or less sporadic use of images also amazes me. At the session on micro blogging there's a picture of the pope? Huh?

This is not a rant on Reboot in any way, but seriously: A conference like Reboot should — in my opinion — have a website with a much more user friendly approach, and with a more eye friendly color combination.

Oh, and by the way: If you look at the source code, you see that the site is made by these guys — notice the green colors and navigation ;-)

In my humble opinion I like the website design that LinuxForum uses much more. Just look at the nice and easy layout of the saturday.

Or is it just me? Is the Reboot website design a hit or a miss?

Today I attended a very interesting conference called Samtalerne (Danish for conversations).

The day started off with me and Euan Semple, a former BBC employee, getting trapped at the stairs of the university of Copenhagen. Being inside an elevator that won't go anywhere is a great way to network, I tell you :-)

I'll do a more thorough post on the conference later with pictures of some of the speakers, so watch out for that.

But what I will tell you now, is that it was an exciting line-up, where the, in my opinion, most interesting points were those made by Euan Semple, Doc Searles and indeed Lee Bryant from Headshift.

My colleague Kim Elmose did some live blogging from the conference, so check out his weblog!

A big round of applause goes to the people behind this event and the speakers – it truly was an inspiring day!
