Google is also working in the digitizing of books department, but with other libraries: Stanford, Harvard, and Michigan university libraries, [...]

Phil Bradley shows people how to search the MI5 website, although the MI5 search is currently not working.
Needless to say, he uses Google ;-)
PS: If the MI5 website uses a robots.txt to avoid the search robots crawling the web, I don't assume that the above tip will work…

Phew. I'm done upgrading to WordPress 2.3.
As I pointed out a moment ago, Ultimate Tag Warrior had to go — after a tip from mister WordPress.dk, René.
One of the reasons was, that categories kept showing up in my WordPress administration even though I had deleted them and I got some nasty errors saying that [...]

Note: Updating to WordPress 2.3

As some of you may have noticed, WordPress 2.3 is out.
I'll be making the update in the very near future. Included in WP 2.3 is a tagging structure, so I'll try to convert my tags into the new tagging system and limit my category system.
Hope for the best — but expect complete utter failure :-)
So, [...]

Microsoft investing in Facebook?

Just saw that The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Microsoft might be very interesting in investing in social startup Facebook.
Facebook has — according to the WSJ — 40 million users, and Microsoft (and apparently also Google) is now trying to grab a piece of the action.
Microsoft's approach to Facebook in recent weeks with proposals [...]

Duncan Riley at TechCrunch writes that "Google Wants You To Share Stuff".
The method: Google's new service for sharing your favorite content: Shared Stuff.
I haven't really had the time to test it yet (I dragged the Shared Stuff icon to my browser bar — but the pop up window doesn't always load correctly) so give it [...]

Is Web 2.0 growing up?

According to The Wallstreet Journal more companies are spending more money in the field of "Web 2.0" (we SO need to come up with another term for that) — mostly social networking or blogging.
Also the investments in Web 2.0 companies has started to move outside the San Francisco Bay Arena which is "known for producing [...]
