Google News goes Scandinavia – but not Denmark :-(
5 Comments Published November 16th, 2006 01:02 Tags: Google, Google News, ScandinaviaJust saw the blog post from Google about Google News in Scandinavia.
I must admit I was quite sad, when I realised, that it's only in Sweden and Norway. Hopefully they'll launch in Denmark in the nearest future. Anyone who knows anything about that?

I think they might be affraid of entering Denmark after what happened to the now dead news service Newsbooster. It did exactly what Google News does now, but was forced to close as Danish media wouldn't accept "deep links", how stupid it may sound. For ideological reasons I don't think Google will do a model in which media providers "sign-up" or agree to be included, which is how news.dk is doing things now (badly btw, compared to what Google News is doing).

But I completely agree, it's really sad that we won't enjoy Google News in Danish for now.
I am truly fascinated with the writing skills along with with the format on your blog site. Is it a paid out design or have you personalize it by yourself? In either case continue the excellent good quality writing, it is unusual to determine a great site such as this one these days..
